Well looks like my acting/movie producing career has started (along with Tech Support and Health Advisor…).
I had enrolled with Susan J Model & Talent agency last year (I’ll write up something on _that_ whole experience later). Due to having a full-time job I missed out being an extra in a few movies (like Cinderella Man….no great loss I think). On the plus side a few weeks ago I got a call from this guy who’s doing a fashion show. He wants to portray this story with a mini-movie in the whole thing. And since it fit into my time schedule (well kinda/not really but I made it work) I agreed. Of course after I get there, I find out that I wasn’t getting paid for it. Ah well it was good experience.
We did some filming on a Monday night went way too late for my day time job preference but I survived. I showed up at 6pm didn’t actually get filmed till like 11pm. So the Fashion Designer, Andrew Majteny was putting on a show. His site still says ‘launch April 15th’
The idea was that ‘women rule the earth’. I think that he needed much more help in setting the whole thing. The story took a number of days for me to piece together. I don’t think Andrew himself knew the whole thing but here it goes:
Picture post-apocalyptic earth. Men have ‘screwed up’ and women are now hunting them (for food or sex supposedly). The film starts off with 2 guys looking out at the distance spotting a ‘hunting party’ and start to run. The film then shows 3 women in this ‘mad-max-like’ vehicle chasing the men. They whack them and capture them.
Somehow they are in a coma for ‘1000 years’ and when they awaken they are strapped to a couple of posts on the vehicle with the same 3 women driving said vehicle out onto the stage.
Ideally it sounded good but it didn’t come off nearly as well as it could have. Andrew did everything himself and that was his biggest mistake. The show was too big for one person to be everywhere and do everything. He seriously needed help and that is where I stepped up a little and offered him the services of Altered Egos Productions. We’ll see if that ever pans out.
Next…film making
