A daily-double for my blog!
What’s amazing about this article is that there is a tone of ’surprise’ that people’s online surfing habits are being watched and that privacy ‘could be’ compromised. Well duh! Not like this hasn’t already been going on for years.
Favourite quote:
“Revenue Science chief executive officer Bill Gossman says the way his company captures Web surfing data makes it “nearly impossible” to merge clicks with users’ personal information. “If a new corporate owner, the government, or anyone else asked us to provide data on an individual user, we most likely could not do so,” he says.” (added emphasis)
Do note that he at no point ever says that they wouldn’t do it nor couldn’t do it.
Enjoy another FUD-filled article.
