The Internet is used primarily for one thing and one thing only….to get information. Excluding some extremists, that is the biggest reason why the majority of people go online. They want information.
When someone says “Hey, I got a new Razr phone”, they tell me about the features and it intrigues me. So I go to Motorola’s website and see what they say. Of course it’s fully great benefits and gimmicks that are attractive to any geek. That’s all fine and dandy but what people really want to know is….is it worth it? How do I know that this phone lives up to the hype that Motorola’s Marketing campaign leads us to believe? There are only a few ways to find out. Talk to the person who owns the phone and hopefully they will be biased enough to give you a good review. Most people don’t. They are so enamoured by the gimmicks and completely ignore any shortcomings.
So where is your next stop? You could wait for the next issue of your favourite magazine that will review it or you could simply find people who have reviewed it right away on the Internet.
That is where TestFreaks comes into play. They are ramping up to have reviews and information on all kinds of electronic gadgets ranging from Cell phones to HD TVs.
I would be keeping my eye on them as they develop and more products get reviewed. They are poised to be a great resource for informing the buyer.
